Program Coordinator
Position Summary
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Program Coordinator for the department of Medicine at the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.
Under direction, the Program Coordinator organizes, and guides day-to-day administrative activities supporting a complex, multidisciplinary clinical program. The position provides comprehensive support for a wide range of projects, initiatives, committees, and collaborative efforts across departments and specialties. The Program Coordinator serves as the primary liaison for clinical administrative operations, and maintains strong working relationships with internal and external partners. The role supports program leadership through business planning, process improvement, and the development and implementation of new strategic initiatives.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
- The Program Coordinator will manage day-to-day administrative functions, organize multidisciplinary case conferences, facilitate communication between clinical and research collaborators, support data collection and reporting needs, and assist with program development activities. This role is also critical for maintaining compliance with regulatory and institutional requirements, tracking key deliverables, and supporting grant-related or educational activities associated with Cardiology Department.
- Serves as a central administrative contact for providers, staff, and collaborating units involved in program operations.
- Coordinates meetings, program activities, and related processes.
- Manages logistics for events, educational sessions, and program communications. Assists with preparation of grant materials and funding requests.
- Provides administrative support to program leadership and faculty related to planning, development, and execution of program objectives.
- Assists in implementing new initiatives and operational enhancements. Works with division and program leadership to support planning, business management, and strategic program development.
Minimum Education and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree, plus at least two (2) years of professional level experience in a business office, government agency, or university setting.
- Equivalent experience, education and/or training may be substituted for the educational requirements.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Physical Demands: Standing and sitting for long periods. Lifting up to 25 lbs.
- Work Environment: Office environment.
Salary: maximum salary of $68,500
