The Merage School Career Center (MSCC) provides career management services for students within the school's undergraduate, specialty masters and MBA programs. Designed around a holistic approach to career design and job search strategies, the MSCC provides a modern mix of career insights, personalized and group coaching, career management resources and business/alumni connections for students to cultivate and build a purposeful and rewarding career upon graduation and beyond.

Your Role on the Team

The Program Director, Employer Relations is a skilled client services professional who strengthens and manages multifaceted relationships with corporate representatives to deliver a highly customized and responsive career employment program for graduate and undergraduate business students. Reporting to the Executive Director, the Program Director also delivers targeted corporate relations activities including experiential coordination, campus recruiting, resume referrals, career fairs, site visits, industry nights, and other career events that lead to internship and full-time employment geared to business students within specialty masters, undergrad, and MBA programs. This role also provides the Career Center with job market trends and insights through ongoing outreach to company representatives and alumni; generates reports that support corporate outreach strategy and industry/function-focused career coaching to students; and manages the employer relations CRM.

What It Takes to be Successful

Required:

  • Extensive knowledge of university employment market (or early career hiring), specifically related to professional business services within fields, such as technology, CPG, consulting, healthcare, etc.
  • Ability to effectively develop and deliver superior, customized services to employers
  • Knowledge of career services, employer, alumni, and faculty needs and expectations, recruiting and staffing methods, and employment trends.
  • Ability to design and modify computer applications to meet program needs, problem identification, presentation skills, verbal communication, written communication, and organization skills.
  • Ability to work with people from diverse cultures.
  • Ability to develop new relationships with companies who have the potential for experiential opportunities and hiring with related to undergraduates, Specialty Masters and Business Administration students.
  • Ability to conceptualize, develop and coordinate events and programs (virtual and live).
  • Strong interpersonal skills to maintain cooperative working relationships with a variety of clients including recruiters, alumni, faculty, staff, and students.
  • Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training
  • Advanced degree in related area
  • A minimum of 5 years of experiencein related field

Preferred:

  • A minimum of 1 year of experiencein higher education
  • Recruiting or experiential development-related experience

Special Conditions:

  • Hybrid position with some onsite work expected each week.
  • Some evenings and weekend work.

The expected pay range for this recruitment is $65,700 - $78,050 (Annual).
