This is an exciting opportunity to lead innovative curriculum, support exceptional learners, and help define the strategic direction of graduate business education in a thriving academic community.
As a pivotal member of our team, you will provide leadership and strategic direction and growth of these vital programs ensuring its academic quality, relevance, and alignment with the mission and goals of Baker College. The Director is responsible for maintaining a culture of compliance, collaboration, and integrity among faculty and students within their respective program area. The Program Director will work closely with their dean and faculty to support the overall program quality, assessment of curriculum, instruction and accreditation. They will demonstrate meaningful research experience—required at the DBA level and strongly preferred at the MBA level—and possess the insight that comes from serving as a dissertation chair or committee member, particularly for doctoral learners. With a background that includes academic leadership roles in higher education, alongside required Master’s-level teaching experience and preferred doctoral-level instruction, this individual will also showcase a history of developing impactful college-level curricula. Their professional profile will be strengthened by at least three years of industry experience in business or a related field, essential for MBA engagement and advantageous for DBA instruction, as well as familiarity with academic program assessment and accreditation processes. Proficiency with tools such as the Canvas learning management system, Microsoft Office Suite, and Google Apps further underscores their readiness to contribute meaningfully to a vibrant, learner-centered academic environment.
