We are seeking a dynamic, forward-thinking Program Director to guide and elevate our DBA and MBA programs at our state-of-the-art Royal Oak Campus. As a pivotal member of our team, you will provide leadership and strategic direction and growth of these vital programs ensuring its academic quality, relevance, and alignment with the mission and goals of Baker College. The Program Director should foster, support, and enhance a student-centric academic environment that frames the College’s mission at the forefront of decision-making. The Director is responsible for maintaining a culture of compliance, collaboration, and integrity among faculty and students within their respective program area. The Program Director will work closely with their dean and faculty to support the overall program quality, assessment of curriculum, instruction and accreditation. With your expertise and commitment to excellence, you will mentor and support faculty, staff, and students, driving our programs towards continued success. A successful candidate will bring the intellectual rigor and leadership presence worthy of a Ph.D. or doctoral degree in business or a closely related field, supported by a strong foundation in discipline-specific knowledge and proven performance skills. They will demonstrate meaningful research experience—required at the DBA level and strongly preferred at the MBA level—and possess the insight that comes from serving as a dissertation chair or committee member, particularly for doctoral learners. With a background that includes academic leadership roles in higher education, alongside required Master’s-level teaching experience and preferred doctoral-level instruction, this individual will also showcase a history of developing impactful college-level curricula. Their professional profile will be strengthened by at least three years of industry experience in business or a related field, essential for MBA engagement and advantageous for DBA instruction, as well as familiarity with academic program assessment and accreditation processes. Proficiency with tools such as the Canvas learning management system, Microsoft Office Suite, and Google Apps further underscores their readiness to contribute meaningfully to a vibrant, learner-centered academic environment.
