What We Need

The position is located within Cornell Cooperative Extension. The Farm to School Program Coordinator will play a key supportive role in advancing statewide efforts to connect New York farms with schools. Working closely with the Program Director, as well as other program staff and partners, this position will assist with the coordination, communication, and implementation of core Farm to School initiatives... This position is full-time (39 hours/week) and will be located in a CCE Office. This is a one-year appointment with possible extension depending on funding and performance. Moderate travel (about 25%) will be required throughout New York State. There is the opportunity to work remotely within New York State three days a week; an on-site presence in the CCE Office is required three days a week.

Required Qualifications:

  • Associate?s degree in agriculture, food studies, nutrition, or closely related field, and 2+years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills...
  • Must have proficiency in Windows-based software...
  • Experience managing social media platforms.
  • Must be able to meet the travel requirements... valid and unrestricted New York State driver?s license.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor?s degree... 3+ years...
  • Demonstrated ability to function as a part of a team...
