Administrative Coordinator I - ACP Recruitment & Outreach Coordinator – Part-Time, Temporary
General Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in related field. Two years of experience in a related field. A combination of education, experience, and training that would produce the required knowledge and abilities could be considered.
Nature & Purpose of Position/Usual Duties:
Performs administrative support and strategic outreach duties to expand the SHSU Alternative Certification Program (ACP). Operates as the primary in-person recruitment liaison for the College of Education (COE), focused on identifying, attracting, and onboarding high-quality candidates into the teacher pipeline.
Primary Responsibilities (Staff Positions Only):
Serves as the primary lead for SHSU's Alternative Certification Program (ACP) recruitment, drives program growth by rotating through partner school districts to identify candidates and cultivate new institutional partnerships. Maintains a visible presence at community and district events while collaborating with college leadership to streamline marketing and residency governance. Impact is informed by data analysis of intern and Assistant Professor of Practice (APP) enrollment to refine outreach strategies and ensure the ACP remains a competitive choice. Provides critical administrative and logistical support, coordinates district governance meetings and works alongside campus principals to align program goals with candidate placement needs. Performs other related duties as assigned.
