8:00am - 4:30pm (summer)

Job Description:
The Program Manager works closely with the PI and Directors to manage day-to-day operation and financial activity for the Southeast ADA Center.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelors degree in business administration, or similar. Masters degree preferred.
- Minimum 10 years experience from university or non-profit administration.
- 5-10 years experience from federal grant management and/or research administration.
- Demonstrated command of general accounting principles and finance processes such as accounts receivable, accounts payable, budget and planning, and financial reporting.
- Residence in Southeast region of the U.S. strongly preferred.
- Ability to travel as needed (less than 10%).
Skills and Knowledge:
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Solid understanding of finance processes and possession of a continuous improvement mindset.
- Familiarity with the Americans with Disabilities Act, Federal Uniform Guidance (CFR 200), accessibility principles and other relevant policies and regulation.
- Proficiency in financial management systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and Google Workspace.
- Experience with Syracuse University systems, including PeopleSoft.
Responsibilities:
Provide administrative and financial management to sponsored research center, including:
- Manage day-to-day operations and finances for SEADA
- Conduct monthly budget review and forecasting; evaluate variances and financial exposure; recommend mitigation strategies to PI and Directors
- Develop service agreements and MOUs, track payments and reconcile discrepancies for program income (revenue generated by the center for technical trainings and knowledge translation activities)
- Manage communication with subcontractors regarding annual budget amendments and prepare supporting documentation
- Prepare SEADA travel budget and track employee expenses
- Monitor compliance with federal Uniform Guidance, award terms, and SU policies
Process and Operational Improvement:
- Lead initiatives to improve SEADA financial and administrative systems and processes
- Develop and implement procedures, tools, or templates that increase efficiency, compliance, and transparency
- Participate in departmental finance and administrative team meetings
- Recommend operational enhancements to leadership
Executive Support to Principal Investigator and Directors:
- Manage PI and Directors travel planning, reimbursement, and procurement card reconciliation
- Reconcile leave balances for SEADA employees
- Oversee and calendar staff leave and absences
- Manage SEADA record keeping and compliance activities
- Other executive support as assigned
External SEADA Representation:
- Represent SEADA at external meetings and events (e.g., Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta Intl. Airport, ADA National Symposium)
- Serve as liaison between SEADA and external stakeholders; communicate program status and updates to leadership
- Other events as assigned by PI and/or project director
Other Responsibilities:
- Administrative or budget support to SEADA or other BBI sponsored projects and programs as needed
- Provide specialized project support for SEADA initiatives
