The Faculty of Health and Environmental Sciences makes a critical contribution to transforming the wellbeing of the people of Aotearoa New Zealand. It is one of AUT’s largest and most diverse faculties offering a range of world-class health, sports and science programmes at different study levels. Our Faculty Programme Administration Office supports the delivery of world‑class, student‑centred learning across multiple schools and disciplines. As part of this team, you will contribute to seamless programme operations and exceptional student experiences.
The Opportunity | Te Whiwhinga mahi
This full‑time fixed term role provides essential administrative support to ensure the accurate, timely and student‑focused delivery of academic programmes across the faculty.
Working closely with programme administrators, academic staff, the University Admissions Office and student support teams, you will:
- Process admissions, enrolments, changes of enrolment and completions in line with AUT regulations
- Maintain accurate student records and documentation
- Support students by responding to enquiries professionally and efficiently
- Coordinate student intervention, withdrawal and refund processes
- Assist with university events, fees/visa processes, and academic administration tasks
- Provide secretarial and backup support within the wider Faculty Academic Administration Office
- Contribute to continuous improvement of administrative systems and processes
You will report to the Faculty Programme Administration Manager and play a key role in upholding AUT’s values and supporting the student journey. To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Experience working in administration, ideally within tertiary education
- Experience using student management systems (advantageous)
- Strong computing capability, including Microsoft Office
- A bachelor’s degree
- Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong organisational skills with a methodical approach and attention to detail
