Programme Coordinator - Electives
About the role
We are seeking to recruit a Programme Coordinator - Electives to assist with the effective and efficient delivery of an elective portfolio within Imperial College Business School. The Business School is a world-leading research institute, home to a suite of innovative MSc and MBA programmes.
What you would be doing
- Reporting to the Programme Manager - Electives, you will be responsible for supporting the operation and coordination of administrative systems to manage the electives portfolio throughout the academic year, both in online and on-campus programme format
- Sharing our enthusiasm and ambition to deliver programmes of the highest quality, you will have proven experience of supporting a variety of stakeholders; of managing a demanding workload effectively and of responding flexibly to opportunities and challenges as they arise.
- Excellent time management, organisational and problem-solving skills are vital for this role, as is a strong customer focus. You will demonstrate exemplary administration and IT skills. You must be a strong team player with the ability to use your own initiative and work with minimal supervision. You should have excellent communication skills and be comfortable balancing multiple deadlines and prioritising effectively.
- The ideal candidate will demonstrate a pro-active attitude and ability to juggle several tasks confidently. You should have experience working with MS Office and large amounts of data, as well as excellent attention to detail and organisational skills. Previous experience of working in higher education is desirable but not essential.
What we are looking for
- Degree or equivalent related experience
- Experience of office administration
- Demonstrable computer competency and preferably knowledgeable of the Microsoft Office package (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint) as well as the ability to learn new software systems
- Interested in business/business education
- Able to work independently and take initiative to deal with unforeseen problems and circumstances
- Reliable and responsible with effective time management, planning and organisational skills
- Experience proofreading and attention to detail to ensure consistency and compliance with institutional standards.
- Written communication skills, including drafting professional emails, notifications and presentations for diverse audiences
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to contribute to team goals
- Flexible and versatile, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and resolve queries with professionalism and empathy
- Demonstrated ability to build rapport and maintain positive relationships with diverse groups, including students, faculty, and external partners.
- Able to work under pressure during peak/term time
- A flexible approach to working, able to work evenings and weekends on occasion

Further Information
This is a full time and open-ended position, based at South Kensington campus (hybrid).
