Project and Policy Analyst

The Project and Policy Analyst will play a key role in supporting the laboratory by writing and editing grant proposals and manuscripts for collaborative projects. This role involves intermittent participation aligned with project timelines and grant deadlines to ensure the timely production and submission of documents. The analyst will contribute to project development by providing valuable input, assisting with laboratory initiatives such as organizing background materials, summarizing experimental rationales for inclusion in grants or manuscripts, tracking project milestones, and ensuring alignment between experimental plans and funding or publication requirements., coordinating experiment planning including recognizing the type of methods expected (e.g., in vitro assays, animal studies, sequencing analyses, or clinical correlative studies) solely for the purpose of organizing grant or manuscript sections, aligning timelines, and ensuring appropriate documentation is requested and incorporated, and delivering regular updates through email communication. Strong communication skills are essential for facilitating collaboration with the Principal Investigator and lab members, as well as for the prompt distribution of necessary documents to support ongoing research activities.
The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.
Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.
The salary range for this position is $24.38 - $50.38 (Step Hourly Rate).
