"Project Coordinator (Part Time, Fixed Term)"

The Faculty of History would like to recruit a part time (0.15 FTE) Project Coordinator, who will work with British Academy Global Professor Quentin Deluermoz, Principal Investigator of the project 'Rethinking Nineteenth-Century European Modernities'.

This 36 month role will be a 0.15 FTE position with the hours increasing to 0.2 FTE for 3 months around the dates of the Global Communes conference.

The successful candidate will co-ordinate the efficient running of the research project under the Principal Investigator's supervision and will assist the supervision of staff and their research work and the project's budget and logistics.

The team is led by British Academy Global Professor Quentin Deluermoz and the Project Coordinator will work with a Research Assistant with a command of Arabic and Berber Languages, a database manager specialized in digital humanities, and two local research assistants from The University of Bejaia (Algeria).

We are looking for someone educated to HND, HNC, level 4/5 vocational qualification or with the equivalent level of practical experience, who has experience of using Microsoft 365 suite and who has excellent planning, organisational and communication skills. Experience of project co-ordination is essential as is the capacity for independent working and using initiative (including problem solving), as well as co-operative team-building skills and a proactive and flexible approach to work.

Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available for 36 months in the first instance.
