Hours:Full Time

Placed On:27th October 2025

About the Role

We are looking for a Project Manager to support three dynamic research teams focused on health equity, diagnostic safety and primary care interventions. This exciting 18-month position offers the opportunity to support impactful research that addresses health inequalities and improves outcomes for diverse communities.

You'll provide project management across the Health Equity Evidence Centre (2.5 days), Applied Health Research team (1.5 days), and Primary Care Sciences team (1 day). Your responsibilities will span project planning and coordination, financial management, research support, and stakeholder engagement. You'll organise community events, manage multiple budgets, coordinate with NHS partners, and support early career researchers.

About You

We're seeking an experienced project manager with proven ability to work independently across multiple stakeholder groups in deadline-driven environments. We’re looking for someone with project management experience and excellent organisational and communication skills. Experience in academic environments, particularly medical or life sciences disciplines, would be advantageous. Knowledge of financial systems like Agresso and research processes through WorkTribe would be desirable but not essential. Most importantly, you'll be passionate about health equity research and committed to supporting teams that are making a real difference to healthcare outcomes for underserved communities.

About the School/Department/Institute/Project

The Wolfson Institute of Population Health (WIPH) is an exciting and dynamic environment, home to 450 staff, 100 PhD students and 500 postgraduate taught students. It harnesses expertise across a wide range of population-based research and education activities and aims to be an internationally recognised centre of excellence in population health, primary care and preventive medicine. The Institute is organised into six separate research centres which, though complementary and following the Institute strategic plan, also have Centre-specific objectives and requirements. This post is based in the Centre for Primary Care which focuses on improving population health and tackling health inequalities.
