Property Coordinator

  • Remuneration: $122,852 to $134,385 pa (HEW7) (inclusive of $103,811 to $113,557 salary pa, 17% superannuation and 17.5% recreation leave loading)

Who are we looking for?

We are seeking a Property Coordinator to join Campus Services, Administrative Division.

The Property Coordinator will assist to coordinate retail, commercial property administration and marketing of the University’s property portfolio. The position’s primary responsibility will be to assist the Property Manager and administer leases associated with these activities focussing on operational and marketing aspects.

Campus Services is responsible for a range of essential services to support the activities of the university. The department comprises the following areas: • Campus Planning • Property • Commercial Services • Security and Emergency Management • Integrated Transport Services • Travel The Property area’s primary function is to provide a range of property leasing and management services comprising on-campus retail and commercial tenants supporting teaching, learning, research and the student and staff experience. This encompasses retail and commercial property leasing, strategy, retailer management, marketing, operations and liaison plus the leasing, management and administration of a variety of off-campus leasehold and freehold assets..

What you need to succeed

  1. Education, training and/or experience equivalent to the completion of a degree with subsequent relevant experience in the property industry preferably in retail lease management. 
  2. Demonstrated experience in the administration, budgeting and effective management of retail and commercial leases, including property accounting methods and the use of financial software packages.
  3. Well-developed analytical and problem solving skills enabling high quality best practice outcomes. 
  4. Proven skills in successful negotiation, communication and conflict resolution. 
  5. Demonstrated ability to work both as part of a cohesive team and independently to plan, organise and complete daily work schedules in line with objectives and deadlines. 
  6. Demonstrated commitment to quality client service, enabling the appointee to establish, maintain and enhance relationships with a diverse range of internal and external clients.
