Senior Technician Process and Environmental Engineering

Who are we looking for?

We are seeking a Senior Technician Process and Environmental Engineering to join Faculty Operations, Faculty of Engineering.

The Senior Technician – Process and Environmental Engineering provide technical expertise within a highly professional technical team in support of the Faculty’s academic endeavours. The role is responsible for the effective, safe and sustainable operation of a range of laboratory facilities, specialist equipment and relevant field-based activities.

What you need to succeed

1. Completion of a relevant degree, with subsequent relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training. 

2. Demonstrated experience in the management of wet laboratory environments, preferably in a teaching and research environment. PC2 Laboratory Management experience is preferable.

3. Demonstrated problem-solving ability that enables critical evaluation of equipment, systems, and processes

4. Demonstrated high-level interpersonal skills to provide prompt, courteous and high-quality client service to diverse groups (including those whose first language is other than English)

5. Proven ability to effectively prioritise workload to meet competing deadlines

6. Proven ability to provide a strong focus on health, safety and the environment while maintaining client deliverables 

7. Demonstrated ability to contribute to the positive cultural development of a team to achieve outstanding collaborative results
