Provost & Executive Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs
North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University invites nominations and applications for the position of Provost and Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs. Serving as the senior academic leader of the University, the Provost and Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs reports to the Chancellor and serves as a key member of the Chancellor's cabinet. The Provost is responsible for providing leadership and direction for all academic programs and works closely with internal and external constituents to promote academic quality and achievement of strategic outcomes.
The successful candidate will be resourceful, imaginative, and forward-thinking, with a record of collaborative academic and administrative oversight. An earned doctorate or other terminal degree is required, as is a record of scholarship and teaching commensurate with appointment to the rank of full professor.
Primary Function of Organizational Unit:
North Carolina A&T is a public, land-grant doctoral research institution and has been the largest historically Black university in the country for the past decade. With 15,275 students, the university offers 61 undergraduate degree programs, 35 master's programs, and 14 doctoral programs. It is America's top producer of Black graduates in Engineering, both at the bachelor's degree level and overall, and in Agricultural Science. It is also a top-five producer in numerous additional disciplines, including Liberal Arts and Communications/Journalism (both No. 2), No. 3 in master's degrees awarded to Black graduates in Engineering Technologies and Related Fields, No. 4 in master's degrees in Engineering and No. 11 nationally among
