P/T Cashier

Maintain professional written and verbal correspondence with current and past students; counsel and advise students regarding the importance of student financial obligations.

Handle and credit money to accounts sent in by mail, online, received at the window or dropped by departments.

Assist students, Utah Tech departments and the public with payments of tuition, past-due accounts, and other accounts receivable.

Updating student accounts with contact information, removal of holds, etc.

Reconciling, reporting and accountability for daily batches.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required. A minimum of one year of experience in customer service or equivalent background. Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Problems are varied, requiring analysis or interpretation. Solved using knowledge and skills.
• Strong computer skills including experience with Microsoft Office suite.
• Ability to effectively communicate wit students, staff, faculty, and the public.
• Ability to work in a team environment and be approachable, friendly, and welcoming.

POSITION DETAILS, COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS: Part-time hourly staff position, Monday - Friday with several shifts available (Opening, Mid-day, Closing Shifts). Hourly rate of $14/hr.
