Are you ready to be the first line of response in keeping our campus safe? As a Public Safety Dispatcher at The Ohio State University, you’ll be the voice behind the action

• Answering emergency (911) and non-emergency calls
• Coordinating resources, and ensuring help gets where it’s needed
• Operating Public Safety Communication systems (911, CAD and radio)
• Dispatching police, fire, and security personnel
• Documenting critical events accurately

You will handle all public safety telecommunications, including answering 911 calls, evaluating the nature and severity of incidents, and coordinating the dispatch of emergency units. Ohio State University Department of Public Safety Dispatchers have many tools and technologies available to enhance the safety of our campus community.
