Quality and Administrative Assistant
About the Role
We are seeking two Quality and Administrative Assistants to join the Early Phase Clinical Trials Facility at the University of Oxford. The Quality and Administrative Assistant will form part of the Quality Assurance (QA) Team, working to support the delivery of the Unit’s Quality Oversight Framework. They will assist in maintaining the Unit’s Quality Management System (QMS), supporting controlled document processes and maintaining training and competency records. This includes assisting with training trackers, meeting organisation, and the coordination of trial-related documentation when required, in preparation for audits or inspections. There will be some management of regulatory documentation, and upkeep of trial folders including photocopying and filing.
Alongside the QA responsibilities the post holder will also provide operational and administrative support to the research nursing team and will be involved in organising patient appointments with our service support departments, creating encounters and scanning documents on to the Electronic Patient Records (EPR), communicating appointment and admission related information to patients and carers and correspondence, as directed.
About You
You will be educated to GCSE level or equivalent, and hold strong communication skills (both written and verbal English). Demonstrable administrative experience and advanced Office and IT skills for document management, information processing and communication. Able to exercise discretion and handle confidential information appropriately. Be a good team player, who works well on own initiative. Experience within Clinical Research and experience within quality assurance, or of Quality Management systems is desirable, but not essential.
