Salary: Grade 3: £27,534 - £28,437 per annum (pro rata)
Contract: Variable hours, 6 months FTC

About the Role
Our receptionists represent the University at some of Oxford’s most prominent buildings, providing a warm, professional, and efficient front-of-house service to staff, students, and visitors. With the introduction of our new Dynamic Reception Support service, you will play a key role in delivering essential reception cover across the University—stepping in where support is needed most.
This is a varied and fast-paced role where no two days look exactly the same and require the successful candidate to be comfortable with continual change. You might be welcoming guests, coordinating room bookings, issuing access cards, managing mail and deliveries, or assisting with small administrative tasks. You will also contribute to maintaining a safe and secure environment and may be required to train as a first aider or fire marshal.

- A good understanding of standard administrative procedures, evidenced by work experience at a similar level.
- The person appointed must enjoy working with people and have a competent, professional manner in dealing with customers, both face-to-face and by telephone and e-mail as appropriate.
- Ability to use standard computer programs (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- To demonstrate good communication skills (both oral and written)
- To possess inter-personal skills needed to relate to a wide range of people, particularly when responding to requests and enquiries.
- Adaptable and willing to learn
