About the opportunity
Looking for a flexible part‑time role that fits around your other commitments? Join our Records Management Services team as a part-time Records Officer for 14 hours per week.
We’re looking for someone who is responsible, efficient, hardworking, and capable of balancing this role as a high priority alongside other commitments.
A major part of this role centres on Power BI (PBI) - maintaining, developing, and enhancing reports that support data‑driven decision‑making across the University. You’ll work closely with the Records Management team to extract and transform TRIM data into accurate, insightful dashboards, gaining valuable hands‑on experience in data reporting, problem‑solving, and workflow management.
This is an excellent opportunity to build practical skills in Power BI, programming, and records management within a supportive university environment.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
- Maintain and update existing Power BI (PBI) reports
- Develop new PBI reports using object‑oriented programming languages such as C# or Java
- Extract, transform and present TRIM data within Power BI dashboards
- Document report structures, definitions, and setup processes
- Troubleshoot data issues and ensure reporting accuracy
- Prioritise tasks and manage your workflow effectively to meet deadlines.
About you
- Strong experience using Power BI, including maintaining and developing reports
- Proficiency in C# programming, with the ability to apply object‑oriented programming principles
- Experience working with data sources such as TRIM or similar records management systems (or a willingness to learn quickly).
- Strong time‑management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks from a worklist
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data‑related tasks
- Clear communication skills and a proactive, collaborative attitude.
