Job Summary
Working under the direction of the Associate Director of Admissions Recruitment, the Regional Admissions Counselor facilitates the University's strategic program for recruiting and admitting undergraduate students. Based remotely in the Atlanta metro area, this role serves as the face of the institution within the assigned territory, managing the student pipeline from initial inquiry through enrollment.
Responsibilities
Recruitment & Admissions - 60%
- Represent the institution professionally at high school visits, college fairs, community events, and panels.
- Develop, execute, and evaluate a strategic student recruitment plan tailored to the assigned geographic territory.
- Conduct engaging informational presentations for prospective students, parents, and secondary school partners.
- Establish and cultivate strong working relationships with high school counselors, community organizations, and key educational stakeholders.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for prospective students and families, providing exceptional customer service via phone, email, and face-to-face interactions.
- Review and evaluate student application files thoroughly to make informed admission recommendations.
- Serve at institutional events hosted by the Office of Admissions and/or Office of New Students Programs
Reporting & Analysis - 20%
- Utilize Slate CRM to track application statuses, maintain communication histories, and monitor key milestones for prospective students.
- Generate detailed weekly recruitment reports evaluating institutional metrics and pipeline health within the assigned territory.
- Utilize data and trends to plan and recruit in the assigned geographic territory
Administrative - 15%
- Coordinate all travel plans for recruitment, including but not limited to logistics, hotel accommodations, and subsequent expense reports
- Ensure compliance with all institutional policies, state guidelines, and federal regulations.
- Maintain accurate records in the student information systems, Banner and Slate
Other - 5%
- Performs other related duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
Other Required Qualifications
Valid Driver's License
Must maintain primary, full-time residence within the designated recruitment territory and be eligible for membership in the Greater Atlanta Regional Network (GARN) in accordance with applicable employment and residency laws.
Required Experience
At least one (1) year of related professional experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred Experience
Previous experience working in higher education or recruitment.
Proposed Salary
This position is a pay grade 9. The minimum salary is $52,880.00. Starting salary within this range is based on relevant years of experience.
