Whether a patient has an acute or chronic condition related to their pancreas, bile ducts, esophagus or small bowel, the Cedars-Sinai Pancreatic and Biliary Diseases Program-one of only 10 National Institutes of Health-designated pancreatic disease centers in the U.S.-provides a range of services that few other medical centers can match. • Registered Nurse IV is an expert clinician who demonstrates a high level of knowledge and experience in a specialty, as well as general nursing.
• Consistently demonstrates excellence in all areas of nursing practice
• Manages complex, unpredictable patient care situations and are a nursing leader.
• Assumes primary responsibility for the mentoring and coaching employees in one of the three professional advancement pathways (Clinical Quality, Education, Leadership) that most closely aligns with their skills.
• Serves as a mentor on the unit with the goal of growing nurse engagement, professional development of staff, and safe quality care with improved outcomes.
• Demonstrates knowledge of regulatory requirements in patient assignment making delegations of tasks, documentation and supervise care for the delivery team.
• Assumes the responsibility and accountability for the supervision and application of the nursing process throughout the delivery of patient care.

Qualifications

Education Requirements:

BSN or higher from an accredited school of nursing

License/Certification/Registration Requirements:

Current, unrestricted California RN License required

American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS or ACLS and PALS certifications required

Specialty Certification required

Experience:

A minimum of 5 years of acute care RN experience in the PACU

Internal applicants should have maintained satisfactory Clinical Nurse III status for a minimum of one (1) year
