Job Description

The University of Maryland School of Medicine, Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Sciences, seeks a part-time faculty member to serve as Fellowship Director (20% FTE) to establish and oversee an ACGME-accredited Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility (REI) Fellowship Program.

The Fellowship Director will provide leadership and oversight for all aspects of fellowship education, accreditation compliance, fellow recruitment, evaluation, and mentorship, in alignment with ACGME requirements and GME policies.

Position Information

  • Position Title: REI Fellowship Director
  • Department/Division/School: Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Sciences/University of Maryland School of Medicine
  • Salary Range: $70,000 - $80,000

Background Checks

Employment at UMB is contingent upon successful completion of a background check. A background check does not automatically disqualify a candidate from employment. However, the university reserves the right to rescind an offer or terminate employment if the findings are deemed incompatible with the position.

Employment eligibility must be verified within three days of the start date. Failure to provide appropriate documentation may result in offer rescission or employment termination.

Successful candidate should be able to:

  • Mentor students in reproductive endocrinology and infertility
  • Join a large, collegial group of labor and delivery physicians, MFMs, Academic Specialists (Generalists), and Midwives
  • Engage in departmental, hospital, and university committee work and contribute to REI scholarship

Qualifications

  • MD or DO; board certified in REI
  • Eligible for Maryland licensure
  • Must qualify for a faculty appointment at UMSOM
  • Must have at least 5 years of post-fellowship clinical experience
