Qualifications:

Applicants must have a doctorate (completed prior to start date) in Counselor Education, Counseling, Clinical or Counseling Psychology, or related field. College-level teaching and professional counseling experience are highly desired as the candidates will be supervising and teaching graduate students seeking professional licensure in counseling (LPC). Preferred areas of teaching expertise include social justice/multicultural issues, children/youth, or marriage and family therapy. LPC or LPC-eligible preferred.

Description:

The Department of Human Relations at the University of Oklahoma-Tulsa invites applications for a 12-month 5-year renewable term (non-tenure track) Instructor (MA) or Lecturer (Ph.D.) in the Masters of Science-Clinical Mental Health Counseling (CMHC) program. The Department of Human Relations is an interdisciplinary program that utilizes theory and research in working with individuals, organizations, and communities to promote well-being and social change. Core areas of the program include organizational studies, counseling and human services, social change, and multicultural studies. Additional duties may include student advising. Start date is negotiable, but no later than August 9, 2025. The teaching load is 4:4:2 or equivalent (current equivalency is a 3:3:2).
