Description

The University of Chicago's Department of Surgery invites applications for Research Assistant or Associate Professors. Appointees will focus on academic research in collaboration with faculty members and other researchers in the Alverdy Lab. Appointees will work on research projects related to general surgery postoperative infections focused on the molecular pathogenesis of postoperative infection-related complications. Appointees will oversee clinical trial organization and mentor staff while contributing to the overall progression of the research. Prior to the start of employment, applicants must 1) have a doctoral degree or equivalent in Biological or Biomedical Sciences or related disciplines and 2) have completed postdoctoral training.
