About the Role
The Research Assistant will support the research activities of the National Centre for Education and Training on Addiction (NCETA), a nationally significant research centre within Flinders University. Working under general supervision, the role involves contributing to a range of research projects focused on reducing harms from alcohol and other drugs, with a strong emphasis on workforce development. The position includes assisting with research design, data collection and analysis, and dissemination of findings through various channels.
- Assist in developing research protocols, ethics applications, and project materials.
- Support data collection and management, including interviews and database maintenance.
- Contribute to analysis of qualitative and quantitative data and preparation of research outputs.
- Aid in communication and dissemination of findings via reports, presentations, and digital platforms.
About You
You are a detail-oriented and self-motivated individual with a background in psychology, public health, or a related field. You bring strong research skills, excellent communication abilities, and a collaborative mindset to support impactful public health projects.
- Degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience/training
- Strong writing, communication, and organisational skills
- Experience in public health research and data analysis
- Proficient in MS Office, SPSS, NVivo, and EndNote
