We are seeking to recruit a Research Assistant to work at the Centre for Risk Studies (CRS) based at the Cambridge Judge Business School in central Cambridge. The risk centre aims to identify new ways to address social challenges and improve lives by leveraging the combined expertise of faculty at Cambridge Judge Business School and researchers across the University of Cambridge.

The purpose of this role is to support and maintain the Business School's reputation for excellence in research and impact, and the CRS is looking for a Research Assistant to support the risk centre's work specifically in international relations. You will be expected to work on different research-related and engagement tasks, overseen by one or more members of the risk centre team depending on the topic. Your research will include applying international relations theory to structure research; peer-reviewed and grey literature search; supporting data retrieval, cleaning, and analysis; and preparing and co-delivering research outputs for expert consumption or for engagement with external organisations or the business public.

You should have a master's degree in international relations including research methods and techniques in that area. You should have some exposure to commercial organisations specifically on the topic of geopolitical risk. Good time management and planning skills with a commitment to delivery are essential. In addition, you should be a self-motivating individual who is driven and able to demonstrate initiative. It would be advantageous to have some exposure to quantitative research methods.

Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available for 9 months in the first instance.
