Research Assistant in Mental Health

UCL is ranked top in the UK for research power in psychology, psychiatry, and neurosciences, in the 2021 Research Excellence Framework. Within UCL, we are based at the Division of Psychology and Language Sciences (PALS), which has ranked 2nd in the UK for Psychology in the latest Times Higher Education rankings by subject. You will work under the supervision of Dr Jessie Baldwin in a dynamic, supportive, and collaborative team.

About the role

This position provides an exciting opportunity to join a UKRI funded project aiming to identify environmental factors that interrupt the intergenerational transmission of mental health problems. This will involve conducting a systematic review of the literature, to write up for publication. It will also involve organising project advisory groups with lived experience researchers, policymakers, and practitioners, co-ordinating dissemination activities, and organising data access and lab meetings.

This role is an open-ended contract with a funding duration of 22 months, with scope to be extended. This role does not meet the eligibility requirements for a Skilled Worker Visa certificate of sponsorship under UK Visas and Immigration legislation. Therefore UCL will not be able to sponsor individuals who require right to work in the UK to carry out this role.

About you

The successful candidate will have a BSc in psychology or a related discipline. An MSc in a related discipline is desirable. The candidate should have an excellent academic track record, with strong written and verbal communication skills, organisation skills, interpersonal skills, and high attention to detail.
