Research Assistant

About the opportunity

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Research Officer to join our dynamic team within the Children’s Hospital at Westmead Clinical School. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in conducting research studies, including data collection, analysing data, and disseminating findings to stakeholders.

You will have the opportunity to develop your research skills, undertake qualitative data analysis, and increase your capacity to write for publication.

Postgraduate students in public health, health sciences, nursing, medical, or allied health are encouraged to apply.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • contribute to research projects
  • support the adoption of innovative research methodologies
  • effectively manage data
  • accurately maintain research documentation
  • maintain partnerships with internal and external stakeholders

ABOUT YOU:

 

  • honours or Master’s degree in Public Health, Medicine, Epidemiology, Nursing, Psychology, Behavioural or Social Sciences or a related field.
  • good problem-solving skills, responsible and reliable.
  • excellent interpersonal skills
  • excellent written and oral communication skills
  • highly proficient computer literacy with excellent skills in Microsoft Office.
  • knowledge of health and safety responsibilities and commitment to attending relevant health and safety training.
  • ability to work within multiple projects and meet deadlines.
