Research Assistant
Position Summary
This position will play a pivotal role in supporting the department as our program expands nationally, in collaboration with our key partner, Reach Out and Read. Responsibilities include coordinating data management and overseeing various aspects of clinical research protocols conducted within the Center for Early Relational Health (CERH) and Covid-19 Mother Baby Outcomes (COMBO) Initiative & Covid-19 Mother Baby Outcomes (COMBO) national study Team.

Responsibilities
- Codes behavioral and physiological data, maintaining IRB approvals and reports and supports research staff in their efforts to gather data from participants.
- Inputs participant data into our database, prepares written and oral reports, assists with physiological and behavioral assessments, and attends weekly program meetings.
- Coordinates data management and other aspects of clinical research protocols being conducted through the Nurture Science Program and COMBO study.
- Review of research protocols and determination data management requirement for each participant enrolled; interacts with the regulatory office to maintain regulatory documents and administrative files for each protocol.
- Research coordination includes working with internal and external Principal Investigators.
- Work in conjunction with the study team to gather all required data and relevant clinical information.
- Work with various departments, clinics, physicians and labs, including outside entities to ensure accuracy and timely retrieval of data.
- Must confer with all members of the clinical team to confirm appropriateness and timeliness of tests.
- Coordinates collection of follow-up data on participants as required by the protocol.
- Tracks participant enrollment and payments for sponsored protocols.
- Performs related duties & responsibilities as assigned/requested.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and at least one and one-half years of related experience or equivalent in education, training and experience. Knowledge of various related laboratory procedures and techniques required.
Preferred Qualifications
Bilingual Spanish.
Other Requirements
Contact with patients and/or human research subjects. HIPAA Training required.
