This post represents an exciting opportunity for a motivated person to join a team of staff in Keele University’s School of Medicine. We seek to appoint a Research assistant to support the delivery of an UKRI/MRC-funded international research project led by the School of Medicine at Keele University. The project focuses on the co-development and evaluation of a culturally sensitive hygiene intervention to reduce pathogen transmission and diarrhoeal disease in Ghana. Working as part of a multidisciplinary research team, the postholder will support the coordination, governance, and reporting of the project from the UK, working closely with the MRC Fellow and Ghana team responsible for in-country implementation.

The postholder will join the School of Medicine’s applied and global health research environment and contribute to the effective management of a complex international research programme, working alongside academic, professional services, and international partners.

The successful candidate will have a master's degree or equivalent professional experience in a relevant area such as project management, public health, global health, or research administration, and experience of supporting or coordinating research or complex projects. You will have strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams and support delivery of externally funded research in line with funder and institutional requirements.
