Research Associate (Fixed Term)

A postdoctoral position is available in the lab of Prof. Paul Bays at the University of Cambridge, Department of Psychology. The successful candidate will work on a research project investigating the computational and neural principles by which multimodal information is encoded and combined in human perception.

The research will combine computational modelling with human behavioural measurements of perception and memory. The researcher will design, conduct and analyse research on this project in consultation with Prof. Bays, and write and communicate results as scientific papers and in scientific presentations at national and international conferences.

Applicants should have a PhD in neuroscience, vision science, or any other relevant subject, with a strong analytical and mathematical background, and experience of ideal observer and/or neural network models of behaviour. Applicants will need to demonstrate a record of research productivity and the ability to work creatively and independently.
