Research Associate - Part Time
Job Summary
The primary purpose of this position is to support research projects and initiatives led by Principal Investigator Blake McGee. Responsibilities include conducting activities related to health policy research, such as managing day-to-day project tasks (e.g. scheduling site visits, IRB submissions, recruitment and outreach, consenting subjects, conducting interviews, data management and quality control, and assisting with data analysis). The individual will communicate effectively with and provide guidance to others working on the project, including principal investigator, co-investigators, project coordinators, and graduate assistants, and community partners. Additional duties include assisting with the preparation of research reports, grant applications, presentations, and manuscripts.
Responsibilities
The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Assist with research participant
Assist with research participant recruitment, screening, and obtaining informed consent. Conduct behavioral and biological data collection, which may include medical record review, participant interviews, and supporting the development and analysis of surveys or interview guides.
Provide support with data analysis tasks as needed.
Support the conduct and management of research projects
Support the conduct and management of research projects, including outreach to prospective partner organizations, ensuring research compliance, adhering to protocols, and protecting human subjects.
Responsibilities also include database creation and management, documentation, expense reporting, training and providing feedback to research assistants, and maintaining communication and follow-up with team members and project sites.
Assist with the preparation of research funding
Assist with the preparation of research funding applications and dissemination of research findings.
Responsibilities include conducting comprehensive literature searches and reviews, retrieving and summarizing relevant literature, and preparing conference abstracts, presentations, posters, and manuscripts.
Support also includes creating tables, graphs, fact sheets, and other materials related to funding applications and research dissemination.
Support the timely progress of research projects
Support the timely progress of research projects, including assisting with the preparation and submission of reports to funding agencies. May involve travel to collaborator or participant sites, primarily local, with occasional state or regional travel.
Perform additional duties related to the position
Perform additional duties related to the position, including clerical tasks such as responding to calls and emails, preparing correspondence, maintaining bibliographies, completing forms and applications, processing travel arrangements, and ordering supplies.

Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements
Master's degree from an accredited college or university in chemistry, biology, biochemistry, cell biology or other natural, life, health care or materials science directly related to the research area to which the position is assigned and experience in research, basic science or clinical laboratory particularly clinical trial research.
OR
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in chemistry, biology, biochemistry, cell biology or other natural, life, health care or materials science directly related to the research area to which the position is assigned and a minimum of three years' research and/or clinical experience
Preferred Qualifications
Certified Clinical Research Coordinator (CCRC), Certified Clinical Research Associate (CCRA) or
Certified Clinical Research Professional (CCRP) highly desirable.

- Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer software/databases
Shift/Salary/Benefits
Shift: Days/M-F (.40 FTE)
Pay Band: 8
Salary Minimum: $18,160
Salary to be commensurate with qualifications of the selected candidate within the established range (generally minimum-midpoint) of the position
