Research Associate
Job Description
The Liu Quantum Matter Lab in the Department of Physics at the University of Texas at Dallas invites applications for two postdoctoral research positions to explore the frontiers of quantum materials using:
- Ultra-Low Temperature, High-B Field Scanning Tunneling Microscopy
- 2D Quantum Transport– including device fabrication and dilution refrigerator operations
We are seeking creative, independent, and highly motivated individuals to join our team, focusing on research in strongly correlated and topological quantum phases in exotic quantum materials, aiming to uncover new physical phenomena and advance potential quantum technologies.
Candidates should hold, or be expected to hold, a Ph.D. in Physics or a related field and have a robust background in condensed matter. Expertise in ultra-low temperature, high-B field instrumentation and/or 2D device fabrication is highly desirable.
Review of applications will continue until the position is filled. The preferred start date is Fall 2025 or Spring 2026, with a latest possible start no later than Fall 2026.
