About Us

The Institute for Aging Research at Albert Einstein College of Medicine is seeking a research coordinator to coordinate clinical research activities for a national study of centenarians and their families. The study aims to understand the biological processes that contribute to healthy longevity. The Research Coordinator will be responsible for project coordination, providing technical support to research participants, ensuring adherence to study protocols, management of study data, management of study budget and maintaining regulatory approvals. The research coordinator will join a dynamic team of investigators in an established research program with an international reputation.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinate all clinical research activities for the SuperAgers Family Study, including oversight of recruitment, data management, and supporting study participants through the enrollments and participation phases of the study.
  • Work with Principal Investigator to refine and finalize research protocols, draft study questionnaires and data collection tools.
  • Establish and maintain regulatory (IRB, HIPAA) approvals and submit necessary reports (progress reports, adverse events, etc.)
  • Represent the Program at administrative meetings.
  • Train, coordinate and oversee project personnel.
  • Oversee data management and generation of periodic reports, including recruitment and retention statistics and other clinical study data using EXCEL, SPSS, STATA or other relevant software programs. Present reports at Project Leader meetings. Coordinate data management activities with data management consultants and ensure efficient and accurate transmission of study data.
  • Assist with preparation of study related documents, including grant applications, budgets and manuscripts.
  • Ensure data accuracy and oversee curation and timely availability of data for analysis and sharing
  • Coordinate and assist with data deposition in designated data repositories
  • Independently oversee all aspects of project implementation, including budgetary, personnel, and data management.
  • Monitor daily expenditures for the study.
  • Work on complex and abstract problems where analysis of situations or data requires an evaluation of intangible factors.
  • Exercise independent judgment in developing methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining solutions.
  • Collaborate frequently with other research staff to devise solutions to problems that arise.
  • Provide feedback to study PIs and collaborators in a timely manner on issues that pertain to the success of the study.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree and 3-5 years related experience
  • Master's Degree (e.g. MPH, epidemiology or related field) Strongly Preferred
  • Must be proficient in MS office and have the ability to apply technology to resolve problems.
  • Familiarity with SPSS, SAS, STATA or other statistical software and ability to perform basic data analysis.
  • Outstanding judgement, initiative, and attention to detail are essential. Must be able to manage competing priorities.
  • Can be relied upon to ensure that activities within areas of specific responsibility are completed in a timely manner and within budget.

Minimum Salary Range

USD $61,200.00/Yr.

Maximum Salary Range

USD $68,000.00/Yr.
