"RESEARCH FELLOW"

The Allada Laboratory (alladalab.org) at the Michigan Neuroscience Institute (MNI), University of Michigan, is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Research Fellow to investigate the molecular and circuit bases of sleep homeostasis and its links to neurodegeneration. The position leverages a broad range of approaches - including molecular genetics, RNA sequencing, FACS, biochemistry, confocal imaging, and behavioral analyses - along with integrative -omics workflows. Applicants must be able to apply these methods accurately and independently, interact effectively with computational biologists, and clearly communicate findings through presentations and publications. Candidates with strong expertise in genetics (fly, mouse, or human) and/or experience studying sleep in mouse models are especially encouraged to apply.

• Ph.D. in neuroscience or a closely related field.
• Demonstrated expertise in genetics (Drosophila, mouse, or human) and/or sleep research in mouse models.
• Strong record of experimental execution, data analysis, and scientific communication.
