Research Intern- Codling Moth Pathogens
Summary of Duties
As the Research Intern for Washington State University (WSU) Wenatchee Tree Fruit Research Center, you will perform work supporting scientific research including: sample collection, quantification, data entry, generation of summaries, and coordination of teamwork.
Additional Information
This is a part time (50% FTE), temporary position. This position is overtime eligible. Temporary End Date: This is a temporary position expected to end on February 19, 2026. Renewal is dependent on the need for extension and/or if additional funding is secured to extend employment. Monthly Salary: $1,757.16 - $2,142.87 at 50% FTE ($3,514.31 - $4,285.73 at 100% FTE) | Commensurate with experience and qualifications. In accordance with RCW 49.58.110, the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position.
Required Qualifications
- Positions require a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field of study or equivalent related field experience performing work with research, scientific or clinical research protocols. Any combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.
- Experimental and analytical skills;
- Understanding and knowledge of research theory;
- Excellent organizational and project management skills;
- Must have, or be able to obtain by time of hire, a valid driver's license and meet requirements in accordance with SPPM 7.10 and departmental driving standards.
Preferred Qualifications
- One year of field experience in support of entomological research.
