Job Description Summary

The Senior Research Investigator will study the immune system in animal models of cancer immunotherapy using in vitro assays as well as in vivo PET and optical (fluorescence and bioluminescence) imaging. Experiments will require expertise in molecular biology (DNA/RNA extraction and analysis, PCR, cloning, cell culture), training in animal procedures such as tail vein injections, and prior experience with in vivo mouse tumor models (syngeneic and xenogeneic). The Senior Research Investigator will work independently to manage research projects, design and perform experiments, analyze the data, and present the results. Position contingent upon funding.

Job Responsibilities

Qualifications

Doctor of Medicine, Doctor of Philosophy, and 5 to 7 years of postdoctoral experience is required.

Pay Range

$79,500.00 - $94,753.00 Annual Rate. Salary offers are made based on the candidate's qualifications, experience, skills, and education as they directly relate to the requirements of the position, and in alignment with salary ranges based on external market data for the job's level. Internal organization and peer data at Penn are also considered.
