Job Summary

As a Research Leader Demonstrator Program at CogniGron, you will develop and execute innovative demonstrator programs that connect real-world industry challenges with fundamental research. The role focuses on creating tangible demonstrators for energy-efficient, brain-inspired technology, leading to potential spin-offs and market applications.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with researchers, domain experts, and industry stakeholders to translate real-world use cases into research questions.
• Develop and manage demonstrator research projects for neuromorphic computing in collaboration with PhD students' supervisors.
• Consolidate scientific expertise within CogniGron and connect with national and international knowledge partners.
• Explore funding opportunities and grants with companies, contributing to new PhD research proposals.
• Lead interactions with companies, coordinate the translation of use cases into research projects, and manage a team of 2-3 PhD students.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Hold a MSc or PhD in a relevant field with demonstrable research experience aligned with CogniGron’s themes, preferably in demonstrator or valorization projects.
• Have experience in stakeholder engagement, business development, and project coordination, ideally in academia-industry collaborations.
• Possess excellent interdisciplinary communication skills and a relevant (inter)national network or the ability to build one quickly.
• Preferably have experience supervising a team of junior researchers and students.

What the Employer Offers

• A fixed-term contract of 12 months, with possibility of extension, at 1.0 FTE.
• Salary ranging from €4,060 to €5,331 gross per month, based on education and experience (scale 10).
• 8% holiday allowance and 8.3% year-end bonus.
