Offer Description
Summary: There is an open call for two (2) Research Scholarship (“Bolsa de Investigação”) at Instituto de Telecomunicações, in the scope of project BRISA-PS2026.

Group: Embedded Systems – Av
Work Objectives:
- Study of the architecture of the DT4MOB project.
- Development of use cases for digital twins for mobility, in the sequence of the DT4MOB project (https://dt4mob.av.it.pt/).
- Preparation of documentation, including technical reports and scientific papers, and participation in writing project deliverables.
Place of work: The work will be developed at the premises of Instituto de Telecomunicações at University of Aveiro, under the supervision of Prof. Daniel Nunes Corujo.
Duration: 4 months, with the possibility of renewal. This type of scholarship has a maximum duration of 2 years. Start date: September 2026 or soon thereafter.

Research grants (BI):
- Are intended for carrying out R&D activities by students enrolled in an integrated master's or a master's degree, aiming to consolidate their scientific training through the development of research work leading to the respective academic degree, whether or not integrated into R&D projects.
- Are intended for carrying out R&D activities by graduates enrolled in non-degree courses that are part of the educational programme of a higher education institution, developed in association or cooperation with one or more R&D units.

Benefits
Monthly salary: 1090.98€ according to the table of grant amounts awarded directly by FCT for positions held in Portugal (www.fct.pt/apoios/bolsas/valores). The payment will be made by bank transfer.
Eligibility criteria
University students enrolled in an integrated master or master’s in computers and Telematics Engineering, Informatics Engineering, Cybersecurity, Electronics and Telecommunications engineering, or equivalent, with a passion for software design and integration.
Selection process
Selection criteria:
- Curriculum vitae/academic assessment (70%)
- Adequacy of the candidate's profile to the project based on relevant work experience in the tasks described in the work plan (30%).
Candidates may be interviewed to clarify any aspect related to the above criteria. The Jury has the right not to admit any candidates who have applied for this position whenever they consider that she/he does not meet the minimum requirements.
