Research Services Entry Professional (Research Services Entry Professional Clinical Research)
Job Summary
The University of Colorado Department of Dermatology is pleased to offer a 0.5 FTE, one-year pediatric dermatology research position for 2024-2025. The primary focus will be patient-oriented, public health research in skin disease in youth from minoritized communities. Candidates interested in investigative careers in pediatric dermatology are encouraged to apply and may start in May 2024.
Authorship will be granted for any projects which the student contributed significantly. There will be opportunities to present at conferences.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with and oversee the day-to-day operations of research
- Interview prospective subjects for a variety of research. Educate potential subjects on the details of the studies through phone contacts and personal interviews
- Writing literature reviews.
- Manuscript drafting.
- Qualitative coding and analysis (with PI supervision and guidance).
- Collaborating with biostatisticians on quantitative analyses.
- Keeping a meticulous lab journal of all research strategies, approaches, decisions, and actions.
Work Location
Hybrid – this role is eligible for a hybrid schedule of 1 days per week on campus and as needed for in-person meetings.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree + A combination of education and related technical/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree on a year for year basis.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in science or health related field
- Clinical research or related experience
- Experience with electronic data capture systems (e.g. EMR or EHR and data management systems)
- Graduate degree

- Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and orally
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels throughout the institution
- Outstanding customer service skills
- Demonstrated commitment and leadership ability to advance diversity and inclusion
- Ability to interpret and master complex research protocol

Anticipated Pay Range
The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as $23,872- $30,365.
