You will drive high-resolution climate and weather modelling, optimising ACCESS model configurations on world-class supercomputers.
You will support and train researchers across Australia, building robust workflows that enable impactful weather and climate science.
What you will deliver:
- Configure, run and enhance experimental ACCESS regional atmosphere and land models on the National Computational Infrastructure (NCI) high-performance systems.
- Manage climate and weather software development projects from concept through implementation, testing and evaluation.
- Diagnose and resolve model, performance and workflow issues, providing expert technical support on the NCI and related platforms.
- Develop and maintain documentation, example configurations and training materials for ACCESS and associated tools.
- Design and deliver tutorials and workshops that build computational skills across the 21st Century Weather Centre’s diverse research community.
