Job Description Summary

Conducts routine experiments and research activities to support project objectives, working under close supervision. Contributes to data collection, experiments, or studies; prepares materials and maintains research tools or resources. Helps manage project documentation and processes to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely completion of deliverables.

Job Responsibilities - Research Specialist A

• Drive a research project (collect, analyze and interpret data, and present data at group meetings)
• Handle controlled substances such as pharmaceutical, radiological or hazardous materials
• Manage zebrafish colonies
• Manage lab inventory and shared reagents

For the Research Specialist B, added responsibilities to the above will include training junior/student lab members on lab procedures, maintaining inventory for lab supplies, and other duties as assigned by Principal Investigator (PI).

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science and 0 to 1 year of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
• For the Research Specialist B -Bachelor of Science and 1 to 2 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

This position is contingent upon grant funding.

Pay Range

$44,500.00 - $57,335.40 Annual Rate
