Position Summary
Prof. Alison Hendricks in the Department of Communicative Disorders and Sciences seeks two part-time Research Support Specialists to assist with research involving elementary school students. The UB Language Learning Lab conducts research on how elementary school students learn language. We are passionate about making sure that all students are being correctly identified so that they can get the help they need to be successful.
Assigned tasks of the Research Support Specialists may include:
- Administering group and individual assessments in schools.
- Entering and scoring student assessments according to established scoring guidelines.
- Preparing tasks for in-school data collection.
- Performing general administrative tasks as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- BA in Communication Disorders, Linguistics, Psychology, Education or other related field.
- Availability during the hours of 7:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
- Must have transportation to school testing sites.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in working with elementary school-age students or in human subjects research.
Salary Range $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
