"Research Teaching Specialist III"

Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Research Teaching Specialist III for the Department of Medicine within New Jersey Medical School.

Under the direction of the Principal Investigator (Associate Professor), conducts specialized research, using judgement to adapt methods and techniques. May be responsible for the management of a small-sized laboratory area. Assists the Principal Investigator with budgetary, training and administrative responsibilities.

• Assists in the establishment of performance standards, as well as in the selection of methodology and instrumentation.
• As assigned, carries out various technical and research operations relating to investigatory activities of the laboratory.
• May assist in organizing and conducting specialized research activities for a particular research project.
• Assists with the instructing and training of students, fellows and technicians in various techniques and procedures to develop the skills necessary to carry out assignments in the laboratory assistants.
• May coordinate, supervise and evaluate the work of non-professional staff.
• Compiles and presents statistical data with appropriate conclusions and recommendations.
