RESEARCH TECHNICIAN 1, School of Medicine, Microbiology
Seeking a Research Technician 1 to support investigation into immune responses following vaccination and infection. This role involves conducting molecular biology experiments, tissue culture, bacterial and yeast cultures, and sequencing. The technician will be expected to follow and maintain laboratory safety standards to ensure compliance with laboratory safety protocols. Additionally, the technician will assist in analyzing immune responses, recording experimental data, and adhering to all necessary safety protocols. A background in molecular biology and experience in a laboratory setting, beyond coursework, is required. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong attention to detail and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment. The candidate must be able to organize and carry out their laboratory techniques independently and collaboratively. They will be expected to present at research laboratory meetings and to contribute to the writing of manuscripts.
