Position Summary

We are seeking a research assistant to support the tissue engineering research objectives of our laboratory involving the development of microvascular networks-on-chip. This position will involve the generation and propagation of cells to produce vascular networks and treating the resulting vascular networks with drugs to observe changes in phenotype. Other responsibilities include basic biochemistry, cell, and tissue maintenance and general lab management.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

Demonstrated possession of the competencies necessary to perform the work.

Management Preferences

A basic understanding of cell biology with a desire to integrate engineering and biomaterials with cell biology.
Course work in biology, biomedical engineering or related field.
Prior experience with cell culture or biomaterials, though applicants without significant research experience will be considered.
