Skills/Qualifications
- Support and coordination in project management and collaboration
- Coordination and teamwork: To support the Principal Investigator (PI) in managing R&D&I projects and coordinating the research group. To work closely with other members of the laboratory and the consortium to achieve the overall objectives.
- Monitoring progress: Participating in regular meetings to discuss progress and results achieved, organising research processes and project timelines.
- Advanced data analysis, modelling and experimental work (Specific Area)
- Omics analysis: Management, processing and advanced analysis of highly complex biological data, including RNA-seq, metagenomics and metatranscriptomics.
- Integration and modelling: Carry out multimodal data integration and the generation of predictive models.
- Protocols: Participating in the design, development and validation of computational, experimental and analytical protocols.
- Scientific writing, presentation and dissemination
- Publications and conferences: Drafting and presenting competitive research proposals, reports and scientific articles (actively collaborating on their drafting alongside the team).
- Dissemination: Presenting results and preparing presentations on research progress for national and international conferences, as well as disseminating findings in academic and social settings.
- Supervision, training and internal collaboration
- Mentoring: To assist with the supervision and training of undergraduate and postgraduate students, or technical staff joining the laboratory.
- Team synergies: To collaborate actively with other members of the laboratory on specific cross-disciplinary research projects
- Quality, procedures and management
- Quality systems: Collaborating in the development and monitoring of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and in the maintenance of the laboratory’s quality management system.
- Funding and resource acquisition
- Fundraising: Participating in applications for research funding and preparing applications for pre-doctoral fellowship schemes.
Specific Requirements
- Degree in Science.
- Master's degree in disciplines related to data analysis.

This contract is funded by the Basque Government – Department of Industry, Energy Transition and Sustainability through project KK-2025/00084/BB/002

Eligibility criteria
- Master’s in Big Data (0–30)
- Experience in multimodal data analysis (0–10)
- Experience in modelling complex systems (0–10)
- Experience with Python or other programming languages (0–15)
- Experience in using Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning for research (0–15)
- Proof of proficiency in English and Basque (0–10)
- Certificate of disability minimum 33% (0-2.5)
