Description
The College of Health and Human Sciences is advertising for a Researcher I position in Project 12-Ways. Project 12-Ways is a comprehensive in-home behavioral service providing training to families with a history of child abuse and neglect. This is a term, full-time position within the School of Psychological & Behavioral Sciences. Position open until filled.
Salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience, while also considering internal equity.
Examples of Duties
- Travel to and from the client homes and various referring agencies.
- Assist in the collection and maintenance of treatment, program evaluation, and quality control data.
- Provide technical assistance to project counselors and research staff in the direct in-home delivery of treatment to families with a child abuse history.
- Must attend weekly staffing meetings in office to discuss the progress of each client. Expected to meet 80% of worked time to be billable/ direct client services.
- The most complex problems faced by this position are the requirement to have a flexible schedule to meet the needs of clients, the requirement to remain composed and professional dealing with non-compliant clients, and the requirement to be able to spend 90 minutes in homes with environmental neglect.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: A Bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in Behavioral Analysis, Psychology, or Social Work, by date of hire.
Preferred Qualifications: Preference for experience in working with the child welfare system or in behavioral analysis and therapy. Services are provided for clients in less than desirable conditions that may include severe environmental neglect, multiple animals in the home, and roach and other insect infestations.
