Position Overview
The Retention and Learning Coordinator acts as a central hub for coordinating the student experience between recruitment and ongoing academic and personal success — championing a holistic approach to ensure recruited students are fully supported from admission through transfer or graduation. The Retention and Learning Coordinator serves as the vital bridge between Admissions and the academic and student affairs teams within Founder’s College. Once students are recruited and enrolled through Admissions, the Coordinator becomes their primary point of contact, ensuring a smooth transition into college life and addressing their academic, social, and personal needs to support persistence and success.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate academic support programs and learning resources tailored to students' needs.
- Manage early alert and intervention systems to monitor students.
- Collaborate with deans, faculty and staff to provide holistic advising and mentoring.
- Foster community through cohort-building activities and relationship-centered initiatives.
- Track and report on retention, progression, and transfer data.
- Develop and facilitate workshops or trainings on student success strategies.
- Support students in navigating financial, social, and academic challenges with wraparound services.
- Collaborate with Associate Deans to contribute to institutional planning and assessment related to student success.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required
- Experience in retention, learning coordination, or student success roles, preferably in higher education.
- Strong data analysis and communication skills.
- Commitment to inclusion and removing barriers.
- Ability to build trust and rapport with diverse students.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree preferred in Education, Counseling, Student Affairs, or related field.
